RegTechs to check out in 2025
There are roughly 1,300 RegTechs worldwide, and most compliance teams only ever hear about the same handful of large vendors. This report picks out 14 RegTechs to watch: specialist and fast-growing vendors across KYC, KYB, screening, risk management, source of funds, end-to-end due diligence and client onboarding.
For each one you get what the product does, who it is built for, where it sits in the market, the key features, and Aventine Lab’s analyst comment with three strengths and three areas to improve. The vendors range from 8-person teams to 64-person scale-ups, headquartered in the UK, Cyprus, Malta, Israel and Estonia.

The RegTech market: what these tools solve
Most RegTechs solve one of four broad problems:
- Identity management and regulatory intelligence: knowing who your client is and what the rules require.
- Risk and compliance management: assessing, scoring and documenting client and matter risk.
- Anti-money laundering and fraud management: screening, monitoring and investigating suspicious activity.
- Regulatory reporting: producing the evidence and returns that regulators ask for.

The 14 vendors in this report sit mainly in the AML part of that market, serving regulated sectors such as legal, accounting, property, financial services, iGaming and corporate service providers. Our wider RegTech 100 market map and the RegTech Lab directory cover the rest of the market.
RegTech market map 2025
We place every vendor on a market map with six functionality columns and three customer segments. The columns follow Aventine Lab’s functionality clusters:
- KYB: company and UBO data. AsiaVerify sits here.
- Screening (AML and transaction): sanctions, PEP, adverse media and related checks. Xapien sits here, at the enterprise end.
- AML and KYC: identity verification and core AML checks.
- Risk management: client risk assessments, scoring and controls. KYCMATIC and Interpolitan sit here.
- End-to-end due diligence: KYC, KYB, screening and monitoring in one platform. NorthRow and Red Flag Alert sit here.
- Client onboarding and practice management: the client-facing journey and the firm’s own workflows. Credas, Amiqus, Armalytix, Complytek, Platforma365, Vespia, Firmcheck and Zygos cluster here.
Two patterns stand out. First, the market is crowded at the onboarding end: eight of the 14 vendors sit in the client onboarding column, so differentiation comes down to data depth, workflow automation and ease of use. Second, almost every vendor targets the mid-market; only Firmcheck and Zygos are built mainly for SME firms, while Xapien, Interpolitan Money, Red Flag Alert and Credas sit closest to the enterprise end.
Feature comparison
The table below shows which core AML capabilities each vendor lists as a key feature. It is a quick way to shortlist, but depth varies a lot between vendors that tick the same box, so read the profiles below before you book demos.

Common gaps across the 14 RegTechs
Reading the 14 analyses side by side, the same weaknesses come up again and again. These are the questions to press on in any demo:
- Data flow between modules. Credas, NorthRow, Complytek, Platforma365, Red Flag Alert and Amiqus were all marked down because data does not flow cleanly between modules, especially from KYB into KYC and screening. If ownership data has to be re-keyed, you lose most of the time saving.
- Bulk actions and remediation. Credas, Platforma365, Amiqus, Vespia and Red Flag Alert lack bulk checks or bulk remediation. This matters when you need to re-screen an existing client book after a regulatory change.
- Client risk assessments. Credas, NorthRow and Red Flag Alert have no built-in risk assessment, and Vespia’s is less developed than its peers’. Firms that need a documented, risk-based approach will need a separate tool or a workaround.
- Entity structure visualisation. Platforma365 and Vespia do not show the ownership structure visually, which slows UBO reviews on complex entities.
- Geographic limits on KYB. Firmcheck and Amiqus KYB are UK-only, and AsiaVerify does not cover the Middle East. Check coverage against where your clients actually come from.
- UX/UI. NorthRow, Zygos, Complytek and Platforma365 all had parts of the interface flagged for improvement, even where the underlying functionality was strong.
How to choose the right RegTech for your firm
- Start with the job to be done. Decide whether you need a full onboarding platform, a specialist point solution (source of funds, Asian KYB, AI research, escrow) or both. Most firms end up with one core platform plus one or two specialists.
- Match the vendor to your size. SME firms get the most value from all-in-one tools such as Firmcheck or Zygos. Mid-market firms have the widest choice. Enterprise teams usually pair a core platform with research tools such as Xapien.
- Check sector fit. Credas is strongest in property and professional services, and Amiqus in private client, public sector and professional services; Complytek, Platforma365 and KYCMATIC lean towards payments, FinTech and iGaming; Zygos targets law firms and corporate service providers.
- Test the data flow. Run one complex corporate client through a trial, from KYB through UBO identification to KYC and screening, and count how many times you re-enter data.
- Look at pricing models. Pay-as-you-go (AsiaVerify) suits occasional checks; per-check pricing for specialist tools such as Armalytix can add up at low volumes.
- Ask about the roadmap. Several gaps flagged here, such as bulk actions, risk assessments and AI features, are common roadmap items. Ask each vendor what has shipped since this report.
