AI Due Diligence Workshop for Law Firms

Compliance Workshop on AI Due Diligence for Law Firms

AI Due Diligence For Law Firms Webinar

Wednesday 18 November 2026 · 3:00–4:00pm GMT / 10:00–11:00am ET · Live on LinkedIn · Free

AI due diligence for law firms is moving fast, but most firms are still working out where it fits. Most already run some form of automated screening on new clients. Far fewer have a clear view of what AI due diligence adds on top of that, where it genuinely saves time, and where a fee earner or MLRO still has to make the call.

In this session, our panel of compliance experts from top 100 law firms joins Christian Focacci from Threat.Digital to discuss what AI due diligence really looks like inside a law firm: how to use it well, where human judgment still matters, and how to adopt it without breaking the bank.

What we’ll cover on AI due diligence

  • What AI due diligence actually is: how it differs from database screening, what a good check on a new corporate client should cover, and where the hype outruns reality.
  • Where today’s checks fall short: false positives, missed adverse media and court records, name changes, non-English sources, and where compliance teams lose the most time.
  • A check, start to finish: Threat.Digital walks through an anonymised corporate client with layered ownership and a past name change, and the panel discusses what they would need to see before signing it off.
  • Making it work in your firm: how the approach differs for a corporate boutique, an international firm or a property practice, who owns due diligence internally, and whether clients bear the cost of checks.
  • Using AI safely and choosing a provider: what to put in place before staff use AI tools for due diligence, and the one question to ask any provider.

The session closes with audience Q&A and one practical takeaway from each panelist.

Who should attend

MLROs, compliance and risk leads, and anyone at a law firm responsible for client onboarding and due diligence. The session is educational and vendor-neutral. Threat.Digital walks through one example case to show the process in practice.
